Friends of Signal Hill Cultural Arts (FOSHCA), in partnership with the City of Signal Hill, kicks off its 2010 Summer Concerts in the Park series on Wednesday, July 7, at 6:30 p.m. with a performance by The Darryl Walker project, featuring vocalist/saxophonist Darryl Walker and friends riffing out some smooth Jazz, R&B, Blues and Pop music.
On July 14, the summer concert series features a performance by Stone Soul with their spot-on covers of Soul and Motown classics, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, The Temptations and other legendary artists.
The July 21 concert will bring the urban rock band LA Blue to the park with a unique and creative delivery of Latin, Classic Rock, Blues, R&B and Funk music favorites.
The three bands bands playing in July were all hits with the crowd last year and, according to FOSHCA, are being brought back by popular demand.
